Yes, super boring I know, but trust me, its worth it & it doesn't need to be all boring. The industry has changed so much over the past 5 years and not to mention adding social media into the mix, more "everyday" people have an opportunity to become a “model, brand, Influencer” etc. There is the standard model niches, but so many more as well, and this is why Research is KEY. For ex this includes, yet not limited to, High Fashion Model, Runway, Print, Commercial, Brand Ambassador, Fitness, Hand, Plus Size/Curvy, Published Model etc.

How SUCCESSFUL you become is define by YOU and how hard your willing to go.

How to Research:

(Yes its not brain science, but just some tips to keep in mind)

Search the internet/ read books/ magazines
Ask models you inspire to be like & or know
Ask a (professional/quality) photographer their thoughts

-Attend workshops/seminars

Things to Find out:

The different niche markets that you can succeed in
Define your restrictions & stay strong until your ready to change
Narrow down possible niche
Photographers who do quality work (ask for references) in your area
Create a model budget, things cost & you need funds (will cover this topic in more detail in a later post)
Set up a test photo shoot & see how you like the process, pictures etc
